We thought we lived in Paradise until we visited Pure Joy cottage on the island of St. John. We had several loves and the first love of the day was coffee on the veranda watching the sailboats on Cruz Bay. Walking “the loop”, as the locals called it, followed and gave us our morning exercise and a chance to say good morning to the other early morning nature lovers. In the evening you can sit in the hot tub with a glass of wine and look over the bay and watch the sunset. The cottage was so fully equipped that you did not have to leave, but we found that we loved the Local and Fine dining experiences. And, Oh, those exotic drinks! We would love to make Pure Joy cottage an annual visit.

I spent a week at Pure Joy on St. John and was extremely impressed with the accommodations, the views, the close proximity to Cruz Bay and the comfortable surroundings. I enjoyed the privacy of Pure Joy and the fantastic location away from the crowds but with close enough access to the beach as well as Cruz Bay. I highly recommend this villa and found the owner to be professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Everything we needed was right there. Great location, close to stores, restaurants, and beaches. Not to mention the beautiful, beautiful view from the deck. After an enjoyable day we relaxed in the Jacuzzi.

Pure Joy Cottage is pure HEAVEN. What a find! I loved my time at Pure Joy because it’s remarkably private and perched among the trees and high up off the road with spectacular views of Great Saint James and Little Saint James Island. Each day started with opening the full length curtains to see the water sparkling from the sunrise, and every day closed with an awesome direct sunset view. You really want to make sure you’re home in time for sunset when you stay here. The cottage has every amenity I could have asked for; a gorgeous indoor shower with glass wall and an outdoor shower for an after beach rinse. There’s a hot tub on the deck facing the water which was so incredibly relaxing. A well equipped kitchen offered the option to cook at home, but this little piece of heaven is close enough to Cruz Bay (5 minutes by car) to make a trip to one of the restaurants seem easy. There’s a king sized bed with really wonderful linens and an abundance of beach and bath towels. Make no mistake, this place is a find. You’ll be overjoyed.

The time spent on St. John at Christine’s cottage was a slice of heaven, we couldn’t have asked for more. The deck gave us views of the turquoise water & spectacular sunsets. Hummingbirds greeted us each morning in the bushes just off the deck. The vacation was pure joy!!!
